Cookie Policy
What we store in your browser, why we store it, and how you can control or clear it at any time.
Effective date: September 23, 2026
Last updated: September 23, 2026
In short: Daffanny does not use tracking cookies. We store a small amount of information in your own browser (localStorage) so that your shopping bag, wishlist and preferences work between visits. No third-party analytics or advertising scripts run on our site, and nothing here is used to follow you around the internet. You can clear this data at any time from your browser settings.
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Daffanny ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser localStorage, on www.daffanny.com (the "Site"). It describes what is stored on your device, why, for how long, and how you can control it. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we handle your personal information.
We have deliberately built our store to rely on as little stored data as possible. Everything we currently store is either strictly necessary for the Site to work or supports a feature you actively use, such as the shopping bag or the wishlist.
2. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. They are sent back to the website with each request and are often used to keep you signed in, remember preferences or, in the case of third-party cookies, track browsing across different sites.
localStorage is a feature built into modern browsers that allows a website to save information on your device. Unlike cookies, data in localStorage is not automatically sent to our servers with every page request. It stays in your browser, can only be read by pages on our own Site, and remains until it is deleted by the Site, by you, or by your browser's own settings. Other websites cannot read it.
Technologies like these can be "first-party" (set by the website you are visiting) or "third-party" (set by another company, such as an advertising network). Everything described in this policy is first-party.
3. How We Use These Technologies
We use browser storage for two types of purpose:
- Essential (strictly necessary): storage without which the Site cannot provide the service you requested, such as keeping products in your shopping bag as you move from page to page, and remembering your cookie choice.
- Functional: storage that makes the Site more convenient, such as saving your wishlist, showing recently viewed products and not showing the newsletter pop-up again after you have closed it.
We do not currently use analytics, performance measurement, advertising, retargeting or social media cookies or scripts. We do not use browser fingerprinting. Our payment providers may set their own cookies on their own pages or payment windows during checkout for security and fraud prevention; those are governed by the providers' own policies.
4. What We Store
The table below lists every item our Site stores in your browser. All items are first-party and stored in localStorage.
| Name | Type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
daff_cart | localStorage | Essential | Stores the products, sizes, colours and quantities in your shopping bag so they remain there as you browse and when you return. | Until you check out, empty your bag or clear your browser data |
daff_wish | localStorage | Functional | Stores the products you have saved to your wishlist. | Until you remove items or clear your browser data |
daff_recent | localStorage | Functional | Remembers a short list of products you recently viewed so we can show them to you again. | Until overwritten by newer views or you clear your browser data |
daff_promo | localStorage | Essential | Remembers a promotional code you have applied so the discount is kept through to checkout. | Until the order is placed, the code is removed or you clear your browser data |
daff_cookies | localStorage | Essential | Records your choice on the cookie banner (Accept or Essential only) so we do not ask you on every page. | Until you clear your browser data; we may ask again if this policy changes significantly |
daff_nl_closed | localStorage | Functional | Remembers that you closed the newsletter sign-up pop-up so it is not shown again repeatedly. | Until you clear your browser data |
daff_nl_done | localStorage | Functional | Remembers that you have already subscribed to the newsletter so we do not show you the sign-up prompt. | Until you clear your browser data |
daff_lastOrder | localStorage | Functional | Stores a reference to your most recent order so the confirmation page can be displayed and the order tracking form can be pre-filled for you. | Until replaced by a newer order or you clear your browser data |
This stored data contains no passwords and no payment card details. Because it lives in your browser, anyone who uses the same browser profile on a shared device may be able to see the contents of your bag, wishlist and recently viewed items. If that is a concern, use a private browsing window or clear the data as described in Section 6.
5. Your Consent Choices
When you first visit the Site, a banner offers two options:
- Accept – allows essential and functional storage and, if we introduce them in the future, optional technologies such as analytics.
- Essential only – limits storage to what is needed for the Site to work and features you actively use.
Because we do not currently use any optional analytics or advertising technologies, the Site behaves the same way whichever option you choose. Your choice is saved in daff_cookies. To change it, clear the Site's data in your browser (see below) and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, they will only run after you choose Accept, we will update this policy and the table above before they go live, and we will ask for your consent again where required.
6. How to Control and Clear Stored Data
You can delete the data we store at any time. Clearing "cookies and site data" for daffanny.com removes localStorage as well as any cookies. Please note that doing so will empty your shopping bag and wishlist.
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome and go to Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies (or Cookies and other site data).
- Select See all site data and permissions.
- Search for "daffanny.com" and select the trash icon to delete its data.
Safari (macOS, iPhone and iPad)
- On a Mac, open Safari > Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data, search for "daffanny" and select Remove.
- On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, find daffanny.com and swipe left to delete.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open Settings > Privacy & Security.
- Under Cookies and Site Data, select Manage Data.
- Search for "daffanny.com", select it and choose Remove Selected, then Save Changes.
Microsoft Edge
- Open Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Select See all cookies and site data.
- Search for "daffanny.com" and select the delete icon.
Menu names can vary slightly between browser versions. You can also browse in a private or incognito window, in which case stored data is deleted automatically when you close the window. If you block all site storage, the shopping bag and checkout may not work correctly.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Do Not Track (DNT) is a browser setting that asks websites not to track you. There is no agreed industry standard for responding to DNT signals. Because we do not track visitors across websites or use third-party tracking technologies, our Site works the same way whether or not DNT is enabled.
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser signal that communicates your request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, but we recognise GPC as a valid opt-out request under applicable US state laws. If we ever introduce optional analytics or advertising technologies, a GPC signal will be treated as a refusal of those technologies for your browser.
8. Changes to This Policy
We will update this Cookie Policy whenever we change what we store in your browser, for example if we add a new feature or introduce analytics. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where changes are significant, or where the law requires it, we will display the cookie banner again so you can make a new choice.
